In the ongoing digital age, information technology plays a crucial role in driving economic and social progress. This alignment is increasingly realized with the rapid growth of data centers, becoming the main foundation for innovation and transformation in various sectors.

The rapid advancements in information technology have made significant contributions to society, but not without challenges. Pressing environmental challenges include increased electronic waste, rising energy consumption, and the evolving ecological impacts of digital device production and disposal. These challenges have sparked deep concerns about the potential impacts of technological advancements.

Students from the Data Science Technology program, Faculty of Advanced and Multidisciplinary Technology (FTMM), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), are presenting their innovative ideas to address the environmental impacts arising from information technology development. Through their research, they propose sustainable solutions involving the implementation of environmentally friendly technology in the form of a Green Data Center called the “Digital Eco-Revolution.” For more information, visit here.
